Kaia and LINE Next to Launch Asia’s ‘Universally Compliant’ Stablecoin Super-App

Kaia and LINE NEXT have unveiled Project Unify, a stablecoin-powered super-app integrated into LINE Messenger, targeting nearly 200 million users across Asia. The app, set for beta release later this year, will offer payments, remittances, yield services, and access to over 100 decentralized applications.

Project Unify aims to support regional stablecoins tied to currencies like the yen, won, peso, and baht. However, regulatory hurdles in Seoul could complicate rollout plans. Dr. Sangmin Seo, chairman of the KAIA DLT Foundation, describes the initiative as a "universally compliant" solution for stablecoin issuance and on-chain liquidity management.

The collaboration merges Kakao’s Klaytn, LINE’s Finschia networks, and LINE NEXT, positioning Kaia as a key player in Asia’s blockchain ecosystem. The project addresses liquidity fragmentation—a persistent challenge in stablecoin adoption.
